Rspack was built to meet a real-world need: a fast, reliable bundler for Lynx. Existing tools couldn’t handle the flexibility Lynx required. In this keynote, I’ll share how it all started—from the early “speedy” project to today’s Rspack and rspeedy. I’ll cover the challenges large teams face, like slow builds affecting merge speed and productivity, and how Rspack solves them across web, server, and native platforms. You’ll also see how rspeedy compiles projects and why bundling native apps differs from web apps. I’ll finish with a Lynx demo, showing features like native styling with CSS.
