In 2024, was Airbnb wrong to ditch React Native?

Speaking on 10:50 at Education Centre
To this day, I get asked whether “React Native is a stable technology?” and if it is, “why did Airbnb switch to native?” The truth is that Airbnb’s article, “Sunsetting React Native”, has been used countless times as an argument against React Native - often times, without much of a look into the details. React Native has changed massively since 2018, and this talk will go over what React Native is and isn’t, break down the Airbnb article in detail, finishing up with a case for why you should use React Native in 2023.
